Warming, comforting and delicious. During winter you’ll often find me grasping a hot cup of tea trying to keep my hands warm. However, warm spiced mylk is my absolute favorite night time drink, it makes me feel cosy and warm inside and is full of numerous health benefits. I make mine using nut and coconut mylk as they are easier to digest with a mixture spices and soothing honey.
1L mylk (almond, coconut, macadamia)
1 tsp nutritional blend powder such as immune boost
2 tsp organic honey (adjust to taste)
2 strips orange rind
2 star anise
2 cinnamon quills
1/2 tsp ginger grated
1 cardamon pod – crushed
Combine all ingredients, transfer to a saucepan, simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
Strain and serve warm
Saffron which is used to support a healthy mood can also be added.
