Australian bush herbal tea
Lemon myrtle – native to the subtropical rainforests of southeast Queensland. Lemon myrtle gently stimulates digestion and reduce symptoms such as bloating and cramping. It also contains antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties to help treat a sore throat and clear congestion.
Strawberry gum – native to the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. Strawberry gum contains antioxidant, anti-fungal and antibiotic properties. It may also help balance the micro flora of the gut.
Jilungin – high in antioxidants, acts as a liver cleansing tonic and balances pH levels in the body. Traditionally consumed in the evening for its relaxing effects and to promote a good night sleep.
Aniseed myrtle – native to the sub-tropical rainforests of the Bellinger and Nambucca valleys in northern New South Wales. Aniseed Myrtle contains antioxidant, antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It is also a good source of vitamins and minerals.
Australian lemongrass – traditionally used by the Aboriginal people to treat flu symptoms, chest infections and skin sores.
