Iced tea - B inspired healthy lifestyle

When it comes to a healthy beverage that will satisfy your thirst, look no further than iced tea to refresh your body and mind. 

No Calories – If you are drinking unsweetened iced tea, it often has no calories. Any time that you make a point of cutting sugar from your diet, you are helping to avoid diseases such as obesity or diabetes.

More Antioxidants – Many types of tea are also filled with antioxidants which are beneficial for your body. These antioxidants are increased if you drink tea that is flavored with lemon or lime.

Less Sodium – Sports drinks or energy drinks contain a very high level of sodium which can cause serious health risks over time, most notably cardiovascular issues. Iced tea contains no sodium.

Rooibos iced tea 
Ingredients
4 tbsp rooibos & honeybush herbal infusion
1x peaches quartered
2x cinnamon sticks
A few sprigs of rosemary
1x lemon
300ml boiling water
2 cups of crushed ice or ice cubes
Honey to sweeten (optional)
Method
Place water into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Add herbal infusion and allow to steep for 15-20mins, stirring regularly (add honey of required).
Stain the herbal infusion and let it cool completely.
Pour into a glass jug, add juice of one lemon.
Garnish with cinnamon, rosemary and quartered peach.
Top up with ice cubes and sparkling water.

Relax iced tea
Ingredients
4 tbsp relax herbal infusion
100ml apple juice (organic with no added sugar)
200ml boiling water
2 cups of crushed ice or ice cubes
1/3 cup passion fruit pulp
Method
Place water into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Add herbal infusion and allow to steep for 15-20mins, stirring regularly.
Stain the herbal infusion and let it cool completely.
Pour into a glass jug, add apple juice and passion fruit pulp.
Top up with ice cubes and sparkling water.

Refresh iced tea
Ingredients
4 tbsp refresh herbal infusion
300ml boiling water
2 cups of crushed ice or ice cubes
2x lemons
Few sprigs of mint
Honey to sweeten (optional)
Method
Place water into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Add herbal infusion and allow to steep for 15-20mins, stirring regularly (add honey of required).
Stain the herbal infusion and let it cool completely.
Pour into a glass jug, add juice of one lemon, garnish with a few sprigs of mint.
Top up with ice cubes and sparkling water

Immune support iced tea
Ingredients
4 tbsp immune support herbal infusion
300ml boiling water
2 cups of crushed ice or ice cubes
1x lemon
1 cup frozen mixed berries
Honey to sweeten (optional)
Method
Place water into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Add herbal infusion and allow to steep for 15-20mins, stirring regularly (add honey of required).
Stain the herbal infusion and let it cool completely.
Pour into a glass jug, add mixed berries and juice of one lemon.
Top up with ice cubes and sparkling water

Matcha mint iced tea
Ingredients:
2 cups filtered water
1/2 teaspoons matcha powder
2 cups crushed ice
1 lime, sliced
handfuls of mint
Honey (optional)

Method:
Using a cocktail shaker, shake water and matcha until there are no lumps.
Add ice, a squeeze of lime, handfuls of mint and shake it some more. (Add sweetener if you like). Pour into a glass with extra lime slices and mint.
